Pool and spa barrier compliance

On 1st December 2019, new laws to improve swimming pool and spa safety came into effect in Victoria. It is mandatory for owners of land where a swimming pool or spa is located to register their pool or spa with the relevant council. Pool and spa owners are also required to obtain and lodge compliance certificates for their safety barriers.

Four easy steps to your Barrier compliance certificate

Register your pool/spa with your local council.

Receive your council letter outlining the build date and applicable barrier standard to your pool/spa.

Book your appiontment with SLG pool barrier inspections and provide us with your letter from council.

We will conduct your barrier inspection and provide you with an easy to read, detailed report and advise you of any rectification works if needed.

Once your barrier is compliant we will issue you with your barrier compliance certificate.

Lodge your certificate of barrier compliance with your local council.

We will contact you when your barrier requires re-inspection (4 years).
